A new advanced course on seafood value chain analysis will be held at IAMZ-CIHEAM next 13-17 May 2019. The course will involve international expert lecturers and is organized together with FAO.

The Value Chain Analysis (VCA) approach is a powerful tool to enhance our understanding of how seafood value chains function and respond to the challenges of globalization, to increasing market complexity and the need for sustainable systems. Providing over 20 hours of in-class training and 15 hours of practical work, this course offers a comprehensive overview of the VCA approach, focusing on market structure and dynamics as well as exploring new opportunities to improve value chain performance by adopting novel technologies, information systems and social innovations. Besides, it is a unique opportunity to meet and work with professionals from all over the world and share hands-on experience with top experts.
